--OVERVIEW
Traditional Guardian matches follow a modest tempo match with minimal breaks between stages. The course of fire often cover disciplines from across law enforcement, military and practical marksman spectrums. The competition format varies based on the host facility, but usually require anywhere from 80 to 250 rounds to complete several stages over a single day or multiple days. The course is caliber restricted to 300 Win Mag and below to preserve the steel targets. See examples below of what our matches are like.

--DISTANCES
Competitors can expect to engage targets at known distances from 100 to 1000 yards. Host locations often allow rangefinders and any equipment you can safely utilize. Target size will vary in difficulty based on the shooter's position, distance, and time allotted. Shooters often have 90-120 seconds to engage a target. Most stages will include “stressors”-- either time and/or short movements to the shooting stage area. Target will be reactive steel targets, and a shot anywhere on the target's plate will be counted as a hit.

--SQUADDING
Once registered, shooters will be able to self-squad in PractiScore. Shooters who do not self-squad will be auto assigned.

--MATCH DISCIPLINE
This long range rifle match will have a hybrid theme; part tactical, and part "hearth and home." The match layout is what we call the "Guardian" genre. Stages will range between battlefield simulations, and survival scenarios which call for a long range rifle shooting skill set. Shooters will be on time restrictions specific to each stage, and realistic stress-inducing shooting positions will be employed.

--AMMO COUNT
Bring 150 rifle rounds to be on the safe side. You will not likely need that much, but it's never a bad idea to have some extra ammo on hand. The better shooters will use a minimal amount of shots to successfully complete each stage. The fewer shots you fire, the better your score will be.

--MATCH TRAINUP
This match will feature a 4+hr train-up on Friday before the match starts. To learn more about this train-up click the following link: https://practiscore.com/events/guardian-virginia-pre-match-train-up-kelbly-s/participants/create

--REFUNDS/TRANSFERS
